The Crouée cemetery is the largest necropolis in the Marne region. It brings together more than 30,000 bodies over approximately 60,000 square meters.
A long alley lined with trees leads to the cemeteries laid out on the heights dominating the village.
Other cemeteries are visible on the territory of Souain.
That of the 28th brigade and its astonishing tombs reminiscent of Celtic cromlechs surrounds a large limestone cross.
