The construction of the Saint-Loup church was ordered in 1245. The first church was half-timbered. The choir and the transepts date from the 14th century, the naves date back to the 15th century.

From 1885, a major restructuring desired by the Abbé Chapiteau was undertaken by the architect Ernest Collin. The old portal was dismantled and replaced by a new portal (listed as a historic monument since 1981) which makes the Saint-Loup church one of the most elegant monuments in the city.

It is open to the public every 2nd Saturday of the month, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
