Châlons-en-Champagne is a city of art and history and boasts some twenty religious buildings. Notre-Dame-en-Vaux Collegiate Church is one of the most magnificent examples.
Registered by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site as part of the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, the church contains stunning stained-glass windows dating from the 12th to the 19th century, as well as a carillon of 56 bells, installed in 1858, which is considered to be one of the largest in Europe.
