On day 3, we suggest an adventure into the heart of the countryside. We start the day with a bike ride. There are two options to choose from:
It’s already time to stop for lunch.
Whichever route you take, the village of l’Epine and the Domaine de Coolus are ideal picnic spots.
Don’t forget to pack everything you need before you set off!
In the afternoon, back in Châlons-en-Champagne, enjoy the Ep’eau’pée boat trip, a tour through nature with the highlight of passing through the lock.
An opportunity to learn more about the waterways and the flora and fauna that inhabit them.
For art lovers, don’t miss the Fine Arts and Archeological Museum, one of the oldest museums in France, created in 1974.
Be sure to visit the hall of medieval and Renaissance sculptures, a collection of paintings by Georges Mielle and the extraordinary ornithology cabinet with over 2,000 preserved bird species.
If by chance, you’ve decided to spend more time in Châlons-en-Champagne, there are plenty of other things to do. Whether you’re visiting as a couple, a family or a group of friends, Châlons and its surrounding area offer a host of activities relating to nature, wine tourism, history and culture.
Have a great stay!
