The Museum of Fine Arts and Archeology of Châlons-en-Champagne is one of the oldest museums in France and the first to have been created in the Marne area in 1794. It was named the departmental museum.
Its collections were formed from revolutionary confiscations, in particular the paintings from the Jacques Cazotte collection.
Not to miss :

- The painting gallery built by the architect Alexis Vagny from 1877 to 1881. It offers a panorama of European painting from the 15th to the 19th century
- The room of Medieval and Renaissance sculptures
- The Mielle room dedicated to a collection of Georges Miellepaintings , with a collection of works from various periods and styles from the 16th to the 20th century
- The room "Archeology of the Great War", with remains of the Borrieswalde camp, German camp of the 1914-1918 war.
