A cruise on the river Marne

on the Champagne Vallée Boat

Enjoy being gently rocked by the river Marne, on board this paddle-wheel boat, while you take in the panoramic view of the valley running between Epernay and Boursault, in the heart of the Coteaux Champenois, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A sparkling cruise experience!

The pier is located in Cumières, 2 km far from Hautvillers, the birthplace of Champagne, made famous by the monk Dom Pérignon, 5 km far from Epernay, the capital of Champagne, and 30 km far from Châlons-en-Champagne.

The V52 cycle route linking Condé sur Marne to Dormans via Châlons passes alongside the pier.

During the summer months, a quayside bistro is open Thursdays to Sundays until 8pm.

Built in 1992, with seating for up to 140 passengers and offering catering for up to 80 guests, the Champagne Vallée offers a lounge area (non-smoking), on a single level with a complete 360° view.

Enjoy a magnificent cruise with breath-taking views of the river Marne, the Champagne countryside and the local fauna and flora. Don’t forget your camera!

On the upper deck, enjoy a flute of champagne at the bar or on the covered terrace.

The cruises

You will sail between Epernay and Boursault, passing through a lock at Cumières and can enjoy a walk around the grounds of the Château de Boursault when available.
