Joseph Perrier champagne is exceptional in more ways than one.
In the 19th century, Châlons-en-Champagne had several hectares of vineyards and ten major Champagne labels. Today, Joseph Perrier is the only Champagne House to remain in Châlons-en-Champagne.
Founded in 1825, the House rapidly expanded throughout Europe. Its champagne even became the official champagne of the British royal family. Indeed, the “Royal” distinction was awarded by Queen Victoria and King Edward VII. Some of the cuvées still bear the name “cuvée royale”.
This family-owned business, which has been in existence for six generations, produces the highest quality champagne thanks to its grape varieties classified as Grand Cru and Premier Cru, harvested on the hillsides of the villages of Chouilly, Cumières, Damery and Hautvillers
